More grumblings from the Anglican universe; I don’t understand these people, who are so bent on having a religion with taboos and superstitions from the bronze age. They pout and pound their fists in the sand because not everyone in their Communion wants to live a pre-21st century lifestyle. Let’s not cut out the things we don’t like, we ought to allow concubines since they feature prominently in Biblical marriage.
Will the Rt. Rev. explain to his Maker why he used his position and influence to enforce ancient Semitic prejudices instead of say, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the prisoner, taking care of the “stranger” or visiting the sick?
I would love to see a break-away group of radical Anglicans who were fundamentalist about Jesus’ calls to ethical living; imagine if they focused their money and time on imitating the Good Samaritan and not a cross between a school marm and the Pharisees...
