Root and Source is a reference to God from the following prayer by the Khasi Unitarians of India.  I find their simple (not simplistic) belief in a panentheistic God that is both Father and Mother, present in the real, natural world and desiring of humanity to seek an ethical life to be deeply inspiring.

Khasi Unitarian Prayer:

O God, root and source of body and soul we ask for boldness in confronting evil.  O Parent of humanity, may we redeem our failings with the good works that we do. (modified)
